OUT OF THIS WORLD

October 10, 2026 | 10:00am - 3:30pm

The Gospel of John is a story of heaven breaking into earth—light breaking through the darkness and God beginning a new creation.

John intentionally connects his Gospel to the story of creation. Genesis begins with, “In the beginning” (Gen. 1:1), and ends with God finishing His work (Gen. 2:1–3). John begins his Gospel with the same words, “In the beginning” (John 1:1), and the story of Jesus ends with Him declaring from the cross, “It is finished” (John 19:30). John wants us to see that Jesus came to do more than simply fix what was broken. Through Jesus, God is bringing about a new creation.

Throughout the Gospel, John highlights seven creative acts of Jesus—seven moments when heaven breaks through the barriers of our struggling world and brings life, light, and love.

That is the heart of Christweens 2026: "Out of This World."
